She left Us 12

Bound with love, pain, joy, and spirituality, She Left Us 12 is a reflective search for peace and understanding as seen through three different lenses. It tantalizes the senses, stimulates the brain cells, and caresses the lover in you.

Shawn A. Jones, Leslie M. Williams, and posthumously Bernice B. Jones have compiled a collection of twenty-four poems based, in part, on a traditional aesthetic of African American poetry that is sure to generate introspection, and lively dialogue.

Leslie sums up her love affair with poetry in her biography like this: “My poetry has always reflected the struggles and triumphs of people of African descent……Many of my girlfriends wrote poetry and we encouraged each other. We had long, reflective conversations sitting on the front porch, which has directly influenced all of us today.”
